Juliaca was the only stop for the train, and people were told to not get off. The place is quite rough around the edges. We just passed through. |

Yup, I thought so too, but it actually said, BIRF, whatever that means. It's a dusty little sprawling industrial town. I heard that a lot of goods change hands here and vanish into the highlands. No one goes looking for missing stuff here, unless you're buying. You get the idea. |

Now you know about as much as I do about Juliaca. You can see that it has a church, probably more than one, and sharp-eyed little kids who can see a photographer anywhere. And now it's off to the final stop on the way to Puno - Pukara. |
